When an item is bought brand new before, had a defect or something wrong with it, sent back to the company where it came from or the store where it was bought, fixed up to almost new condition and then sold for a less price
My new Pantech Duo from AT&T was a Refurb because i didn't want to pay an extra 100 dollars for a brand new one.

Being to stupid to realize the word is refurbishing or fabricating and that combining the two during a supposedly professional phone call makes you sound like an absolute idiot.
We are refurbicating the parts.
