A descriptive word for what happens if one falls at the top of a hill - or loses one's nerve - and slides in a vaguely controlled manner on one's bottom all the way to the end. Also can be used as a verb, as in "ratballing."
I accidently found myself on a black diamond ski run and decided to ratball my way to the bottom.

As we were descending from the mountain, we ran into a patch of loose rock, and decided to ratball rather than risk falling.

I only meant to watch the Heigh-Ho scene for the endwarfins, and then it was two hours later and I'd watched the whole movie.
