pinee

"Pinee" is derivation of the verb "pining" as in to pine for someone's affection.

A "pinee" is someone who is the object of someone's desperate crush. A "pinee" does not like that person (the piner) back. The relationship is impossible.

Jim really wanted to be with Pam, but she was already in a relationship. Jim is pining for Pam. Pam is the pinee and Jim is the piner.

pine tree 

A type of evergreen that grows from 45' to 100' & even to 145' tall! They live 100 to 1000 years with the oldest living organism in the World being the Bristlecone Pine having Over 4600 Years old! Pine nuts are harvested from the pine cones & used to make pesto & also used as a snack.

I'm delighted to have an 80' tall pine tree in my yard! They're highly fragrant & smell so fresh!

Similar to beer goggles, but for the more refined. Synonymous with the 'sherry monocle'.

"Stephen Fry doesn't have beer goggles, he has Madeira Pince-Nez."

In team sports, players not actively participating in the game sit on the sidelines or "ride the pine" until the coach puts them in the game.

Even though he was drafted in the first round, he'll probably be riding the pine for a few games before they start him.
