A philophiliac is a person who likes to sleep with dead philosophers. Because of this disease they are often found to be hanging around graveyards (especially at night). Berkeley’s grave has been dug up numerous times and is one of the hardest hit philosophers. Yet despite this, sightings of philophiliacs are rare and often do not provide any conclusive evidence of their identities. Whilst the problem is a fairly recent on, graves all over the globe have been affected. Boffin
British slang for a scientist or technical expert, esp . when the speaker is not certain of the expert’s specific field of study. Not necessarily derogatory, but typically used by persons without a technical background. In the US, the equivalent would be “egghead”, “squint”, or “geek.”
