Overhills Highschool

Has many nicknames. Hell on earth, Prison and many others. A place of drama and fakes and rumors are spread around everyday. Where the teachers dont know how to teach and there is a fight everyday. Sound exciting? Obviously you dont go there.....

Overhills highschool is a terrible place to be at all day until 2:25.......

oversyllabification

The use of additional words or syllables in a sentence. Primarily of use by those attempting to sound more intelligent, and in fact yielding the oposite.

Many auditors will display oversyllabification when they describe preventative controls not realizing that preventive controls are fine.

More than what is needed. In gross excess of what is reasonably expected. An excess of something beyond what is required or suitable for a given purpose.

Originally applied to nuclear weaponry.

"So, Bob, you ready to tear down that fence?" "Yeah, Chuck, the plastic explosives are all wired up!"

A 40-megaton nuke is overkill for destroying a farmhouse.

An Opteron 246 32-way server is overkill for typing up a paper.

oversplain

To provide more detail than there is any reason to give. To over explain.

"Do you know what time it is?"
"Sure. My watch is pretty accurate, and I check it against my phone daily. My phone is the most accurate time device I usually have, but if I built a sundial I could get the exact solar time ..."
"You're oversplaining this. I just need to know whether or not you know what time it is."
