Noumenism

1. Noumenism is a 21st century movement of artists and academics whose name derived from Immanuel Kant’s concept of noumena, or unrepresentable reality. Like Kant, Noumenists acknowledge the “Thing-in-itself” that exists outside of the world of phenomenological experience.

2. Noumenists understand the phenomenal and noumenal realms as products of a “reason beyond reason.” This ultimate logic is synonymous with universal notions of the sacred, the divine, the transcendent, and the sublime.

3. Noumenists acknowledge that the Thing-in-itself is not representable to human logic, yet they contend that it is possible to encounter noumena in the phenomenal realm. In this, they stand against pure reason in favor of “unreasonable” forms of knowledge such as bodily knowings and affect.

4. Noumenists create work that encourages encounters with the Thing-in-itself. Their art has meaning only in that it points to that which is above meaning.

5. Noumenism maintains there is an unrepresentable, ultimate reality, that this reality is sacred, and that through phenomenological experience there is access to the noumenal realm. Noumenism advances that which, until recent times, was the very center of artistic practice—a reaching out towards a higher “other,” the real behind the endless parade of signifiers and signifieds.
“Noumenism is creating a veracious and dispassionate faith discourse in contemporary art that reflects the past 100 years of art history and considers the postmodern foundation of 21st century culture.”

Newmanistic

Doing shit regardless of what public consultation might bring up.

This term is related to the effects that the Queensland public experienced under the then premier Campbell Newman's changes to public service funding and the ongoing consequences of that turmoil.
That decision is Newmanistic and short sighted in its terms.

Nemenism

A form of religion that does not give a damn about anything and everything that exists in the universe. They strive to tell anyone and everyone that caring too much for things is a waste of time. To become a Nemenist, one must complete an initiation that involves a test of your ability to not bring too much attention about anything in your life . Once this is completed, one would be blessed by the deity himself, Nemesiah, to fully become a Nemenist sentinel.
Person 1 - Hey man, where were you yesterday?
Person 2 - I was worshiping our demi-god Nemesiah.
Person 1 - I haven't heard of that god before, what is your religion?
Person 2 - My religion is Nemenism, a religion that involves a disregard for too much attention to things.
Person 1 - That's really interesting, I might check that out.

Back when I lived in upstate new york

A meaningless, unimpressive, self-serving introduction. An indicator that the story about to be shared will be pointless and dumb.
Back when I lived in upstate new york, I also had to park on the street - on two occasions, we got enough snow, mixed with just the right plowing, that my car was lifted off the ground from so much snow being jammed underneath it.

Sister: This meeting was to discuss the rough draft of my essay, where we discussed the subsidiary questions I added in my rough draft. We also discussed the relationship between my main title and the real-life situations I chose to use in my essay. We discussed the structure of my essay as well, specifically the Math AOK section and how it relates to the contradiction of the title. This second meeting was particularly helpful in discussing the implications of my essay claims and how to apply the title across various areas of knowledge. There were many sections of the essay that could have been cut down in wordiness and the ways of knowing required further and more in-depth analysis.
