Admin, or administrative work, that is done for no real purpose other than to conform to a process or system, typically one that is overly-bureaucratic or unfit for purpose.

I am doing some madmin - I have to book remaining holidays in the system so I don't lose them, even though I don't know which actual days I will take as leave.
