Lykes,is someone everyone instantly falls in love with. From first glance,he comes off as shy, but once you get to know him, he can make any boring moment fun. Lykes is caring and sweet and never lets you put yourself down, yet puts himself down a lot. He doesn't realize how wonderful he is even when the whole world thinks he's fucking amazing. Lykes lights up every room he walks into instantly making it the happiest place on earth. He doesn't have a clue of a lot of things going on, especially how much people care about him. He's the guy of your dreams, the best friend you wish you had met sooner, the guy you turn to when everything seems to go to shit.Its indescribable how much Lykes means to people and its unfathomable as to why-- he is just him and he's what makes this world go round.

Lyke Wake Dirge 

Lyke-Wake Dirge is a traditional English song, thought to have originated in Yorkshire, telling of the journey a soul makes and the trials it faces, on its way from earth through purgatory to Heaven. Though, ostensibly, from the Christian era and featuring references to Christianity, much of the symbolism, within the song, is thought to be of heathen origin.
The title refers to the watch over the dead between the death and funeral, known as a wake. Lyke is an obsolete word meaning a corpse, and is related to the German word “Leiche” and the Dutch word “lijk”, which have the same meaning. It survives in modern English in the expression lych gate, the roofed gate at the entrance to a churchyard, where a coffin could be held and the bearers rested before continuing on to the church for the burial service. "Lyke-wake" could also stem from the Norse influence on the Yorkshire dialect, the contemporary Norwegian and Swedish words are still "likvake" and "likvaka" respectively ("lik" and "vaka"/"vake" with the same meanings as previously described for "lyke" and "wake").
The old ballad affirms that safety and comfort of the soul in overcoming the difficulties it faces are directly related to the dead person's willingness to have given charitably during their lifetime.. The poem on which it is based was first collected, in 1686, by John Aubrey. Aubrey also recorded that it was definitely being sung in 1616, but was believed to be much older.

An old English word meaning a corpse. It can also be spelled lych or lich it derives from the Medieval English “lic” meaning a dead body and is used in the traditional song Lyke Wake Dirge.

When people use “lyke” instead of “like” they just demonstrate their ignorance and stupidity.

Likesaber 

An achievement only obtainable on youtube.

Likesabers have two forms Green and Red.

A Green Likesaber is when a youtube video is so popular, the small red bar only consists of trolls and genuine idiots.

The Red Likesaber is the opposite of a Green lightsaber, it is used to point out the overwhelming opposition to the quality of the video or it's content.

As the name suggests, it is called this because the like/dislike bar below the youtube video has achieved the proportions of a lightsaber.

Damn my shakey recording of a family guy episode got the Red Likesaber.

Amazing athiest just got given yet another Green Likesaber for his views on feminism.

Tri-lakes Challenge 

The Tri-lakes challenge is a town competition/quirk that takes place in Monument, CO and Palmer Lake, CO. Starting and ending inside of Taco Bell , participants must be fully submerged in each of the three lakes: Woodmoor Lake, Monument Lake, and Palmer Lake. The challenge was first popularized by local heroes, the "Sausage Fest."
