Liptard is a term used to describe someone within the paleontological or biological communities who believes and or draws members of a certain extinct
animal group with extraoral tissue (lips) when it is argued that these groups likely did not have them. Proponents of extraoral tissue in a select animal group
may argue that such a term is derogatory and view the term as an ad hominem fallacy, but this can depend on the
person and the context. The term liptard shares similarities with the term feather
nazi, both of which are terms used in the paleontological community. Like feathernazi, it is a play on words with Liptard being a play on the word "Libtard" a slang used against
people with left leaning positions. Liperal (a term which I cannot take credit for), is used in similar way to liptard.
