The people are 99% Pashtun and are known throughout Afghanistan as very beautiful and people with light hair and eyes. They men are known to be quite aggressive and funny . Also Kandahar is the cultural capital of Pashtuns, their dialect is different from the ones spoken in other parts of Afghanistan. Their dialect of pashto is closely related to the ones spoken in Herat, Farah, Nimruz and Helmand. All are close to the iranian border. The Pashtuns are people of the iranic stock. People from Kandahar are very patriotic.
