A hack to a process/software designed to accomplish a tactical goal. It will ultimately lead to more problems and an even larger amount of effort to undo it than it would to implement correctly but with a medium/long term delivery date.

We don't have time to spend on a strategic solution so just do whatever you need to do and get it out tomorrow; we'll fix this hacktical solution whenever we have time.

Hactical is the exact opposite of tacticool. One strives to achieve the optimal level of being hack by using substandard products in a tactical fashion.

Man, your shit, duct-tape wrapped AK-47 looks very hactical even by a terrorist's standards. Be ready for jihad comrade.

A combination or portmanteau of the words hack and activate meaning the use of alternate methods to gain access to computer programs or hardware.

hacktivate differs from cracktivate: hacktivate does not imply malicious intent.

I had to hacktivate my authentic copy of MS Office because I lost the product key.
