Gypsy Punk is the hybrid musical genre of traditional gypsy music, punk and
rebel music. The term was first widely popularized by the
band Gogol Bordello.
Gypsy Punk bands generally
use instruments that are utilized by a wide array of gypsy bands such as violins, accordions and the cymbalom.
Representatives of this genre include but are not limited to Gogol Bordello, Balkan Beat Box, Kultur Shock,
Di Nigunim, Golem and Blackbird Raum.
