In fact, similarly to a Sommelier for wines, a ganjelier provide its experience to review and
define quality of existing and newly established cannabis strains and products derived. Products derived from cannabis are usually resins or hashish, concentrates such as waxes or
pure cannabinoids, food supplements like oils, capsules, or edibles.
The importance of the Ganjelier is improving with increased awareness of cannabis medical properties and with legalization recreational cannabis in the US states, Uruguay and
Canada, while in Europe thanks to step forward toward medical cannabis and cannabis with low content of THC (below
0.2%), usually called legal cannabis or cannabis
light because it contains only the non-psychoactive cannabinoid CBD or cannabidiol.
