Acts or statements that can be described as a “profile in cowardice.” Moral or ethical equivocation fit under this umbrella. The adjectival form of ‘Flakian’ (see: Flakian).
“Did you see that Senator refuse to do anything close to standing up for his/her previously stated principles? I’m so tired of their Flakery.”

Media Fakery

The means by which people can be deceived by false information.

At its most basic this could be as simple as an individual lying about their age on a facebook page. More commonly the term is connected with Mass media & the deceptions they engage in. For instance in 2014 the media promoted a 'shocking' video of a Syrian boy braving sniper fire to rescue a little girl from ISIS sniper fire. It was then later revealed that the whole video was a staged sequence shot in Malta by Norwegian director Lars Klevberg.

'Eyewitness' testimony can also be faked; for instance in 2013 the Kenyan star quoted an 'anonymous Doctor' who stated that he saw terrorists performing bizarre tortures upon the hostages of the Westgate shopping Mall attack. Nowadays the claim that there even were hostages has been dropped.

Media fakery has been going on for a long time perhaps most amusingly with the 'Cottingley Fairies'. A series of (obviously) fraudulent photographs that were pushed by the media (& various celebrities of the day) in 1917. The photos created a controversy that lasted until the mid 1970's!
Media skeptics regularly point out the use of green-screening, CGI, actors, fake 'experts' etc as well as the absurdity of some of the claims made by the media (ISIS using bombs filled with live scorpions for example).
Hmm she seems strangely happy considering her child was just brutally murdered... could this event be an example of media fakery?

A fake ass bitch that can't even keep their word. Promises are worthless from them. Plans will be made and they will rarely go through with them. They like to tell you they're on their way but never show up. They will ignore your messages and calls. Real insidious people.
No matter the situation what they will always have an excuse when you call them on their bullshit, and they'll be the ones to get mad.
Aside from all their bullshit, they'll stop being flakey once they need something from you, they may even give you gifts but you'll never have their friendship.

Funny thing is flakey bitches hate being called flakey. Will straight up deny it and you will get a kick out of how they respond when they argue.
They don't know how to stick to the facts. You may even start to believe that they suffer from hallucinations and delusions.

when you make plans with someone then they cancel last minute leaving you alone; unreliable; can`t be trusted. People like this don`t make good friends.
Dream is so flakey, overtime we make plans she always dips last minute. I can never rely on her.

The Flakey One

An ancient deity of Slavic origin, the Flakey One derives from the folklore of Дьявол пекаря. A spindly creature, known to enter bakeries and patisseries after midnight to decimate baked goods, either through demonic sexual acts or perspiration of his everlasting baby oil.

Due to this folklore, the term Bakers Dozen was coined, so for every 12 baked goods produced, a 13th was put aside as a gift to The Flakey One, thus stopping his wrath amongst the other finely cooked pastries and breads.
Why be there so much baby oil over these finely cooked rye breads? ‘‘Twas but the wrath of The Flakey One, harbinger of Bakeries; we should’ve made a Bakers Dozen.

Tim is such a flaker. I can't believe that he bailed out the very last minute! I'm definitely not inviting him to hang out next time.

More from Urban Dictionary
West Midlands slang word for rockers, bikers, greasers etc. In the late 1980s it was used by the UK music press to refer to a specific scene centered around the bands Pop Will Eat Itself and Crazyhead. The term never found favour with readers of 'the inkies' (Sounds, Melody Maker and the still extant NME) and was soon dropped. Now often used in predominantly working-class areas of the midlands and the north to mean someone who listens to rock-derived music and/or dresses in a manner that suggests they affiliate themselves with rock music of some kind.
Some grebo passed with Sabbath playing on his stereo.
The Poppies are at no. 17? God, a grebo band in the charts!
