fauxblige
To do someone a favour or service like you would do when obliging or being obliged, except you're doing so disingenuously to humour them, likely because doing so offers you an easier, quicker or more polite escape than expressing your disagreement, calling them out on their nonsense, or telling them to get lost.
They invited me to what they said was going to be a job interview, but when I attended it turned out to be a sales pitch for an MLM scheme; I **fauxbliged** by staying for the duration of it, thanked them at the end, then left and blocked them on all platforms.
**or**
He nattered on and on giving me a load of unhelpful advice I never asked for, but I did not have the energy to call him out on his drivel so I just **fauxbligingly** nodded along to his waffling.
