One who pretends to be vegetarian, but is in fact not; A fake vegetarian; One who claims to adhere to the vegetarian ethos when in certain company, but consumes animal products and meat otherwise.

Jose: I saw Lauren at Fuji Mountain last night-- but she was eating chicken teriyaki. Isn't she vegetarian?
Christie: That's what she tells everyone, but she's a total faketarian.

Fakietarian

1. Someone who claims to be vegan but doesn’t know what a dairy product is, or how vegans get protein.
2. Someone who claims to be vegetarian but still eats “chicken” or “fish.”

“That girl isn’t a vegetarian bro, she’s a Fakietarian. She says “It’s just a little fish sometimes,” but I just saw her down two cheese burgers.”

Similar to a vegetarian; except instead of only eating vegetables, fadgetarians only eat fadge.

Faketarian

One who views themselves as refraining from eating animal flesh but makes allowances for eating meat.

Human #1: I only eat meat on "special occasions"
Human #2: You're such a faketarian.

fauxgetarian

Someone who watches too many PETA/animal cruelty videos online and suddenly proclaims they are a vegetarian. Common traits include "occasionally" eating meat, or only eating chicken. Fauxgetarians usually disregard their commitment to saving the animals after a month or two.

Heather's not a vegetarian, man. She's a fauxgetarian, she just watched too many PETA videos last week.

She told me she was a vegetarian, but I saw her eating a whole steak yesterday. Now I know she's just a fauxgetarian.
