extranet

A private network that uses Internet protocols, network connectivity, and possibly the public telecommunication system to securely share part of a business's information or operations with suppliers, vendors, partners, customers or other businesses. It can be viewed as part of a company's Intranet that is extended to users outside the company (eg: normally over the Internet). It has also been described as a "state of mind" in which the Internet is perceived as a way to do business with other companies as well as to sell products to customers.

extranet meme 

(Or outernet meme) A meme that gained popularity by distribution outside the internet.

The word "extranet" is a retronym - a word used to describe an object or entity that has been superseded by a new kind of thing, where the original object or entity was not previously described using the new word.

Examples: email and snail mail (snail mail being the retronym for ordinary "mail"); quantum mechanics and classical mechanics (before the discovery of quantum mechanics the way matter interacts on the superatomic scale was simply "mechanics"); and finally, internet meme and extranet meme.

extronet 

A person who is an obnoxious, misguided, and intolerable extrovert online, but a true introvert outside of the web. These people feel brave and boastful, but are true cowards and have no original thoughts of their own.

Konstantine was online last night reading the comments he received on a post he made about neutering feral pets and became furious when he discovered the mean-spirited and overly political hate speech directed at him. He realized it was from his mild-mannered coworker Patrick. He made a plan to confront this extronet at work in order to get him to pee his pants.

Someone who has a personality of a stripper on a Friday night that no matter what goes above and beyond to let everyone they come across never forget they met them.

Extranerding

1. When a person, an extranerd, in a social context go on about a certain thing, unable to talk about something else.

2. Repetitive conversational behaviour, always wanting to talk about a specific aspect or topic, unable to let it go until a sense of satisfaction has been attained.

An extranerd (let's call him John) is hanging out with some male friends at a bar.

As the conversation goes over how to approach a girl someone mentions that women nowadays are super-independent and that this is to be respected. John starts extranerding and can't let go of the issue. All night he discusses how this came to be with the women he talks to. He goes over statistic facts, political agendas, the socio-economic status of different stratas of female groups in the western world relating to historical events in modern and industrial time. This unevitably creates a difficulty for the women to interact with John, as he while continuing his social interaction is still actively processing this issue.
