phrase used to describe and/or alert someone who is being real extra.
Why you got all that make-up on. You look like this girl named Dana in the face. You doin too much.

A optimal state of mind and being - similar use to "in the zone", "cold-chillin" or "it's all good."
1. "Sup dawg?"

Used to emphasize that noone compares to you. Noone is seeing you. Noone is on your level etc..
Damn son, I saw you rush for 4 touchdowns on ESPN against UCLA, you was doin' the damn thang.

Look at mami over there in the midrift and spandex shorts, looking like she jumped off a magazine cover; she doin' the damn thang, that's why all them fat girls hatin on her.

How we doin there bub 

A common phrase on the coast of Maine. Used when one lobsterman greets another. Another variant that is often used is "Hey there bud". It is important that these are both pronounced with a great Maine accent.
Lobsterman 1- "How we doin there bub?"

Lobsterman 2- "Great, had a good catch today."

Doin too much 

verb. doing more than needs to be done or should be done.
Say some girl likes a guy at a club, so she follows him around and tries to talk to him at every chance she gets, even though he is clearly uninterested.

"Look at that poor girl, she's doin too much!"

Also, girls and guys who are obviously trying way too hard to act cool or look good.

"Did you see that girl with her titties hanging out for everyone to see? She's doin way too much!"
