It is used as a derogatory term, usually by fanatical supporters of the Duterte administration, originally against supporters of the Aquino family and the Liberal Party of the Philippines but has slowly become a catch-all term towards critics of the Duterte administration and its allies, no matter the political affiliation of the critic or the validity of their criticism.
