Generally a last name, Culver means dove. This can be taken to mean that the person bears some sort of resemblance to a dove, such as mildness of temper. This holds true most of the time, but if you get a Culver mad, there will be hell to pay.

Culver's 

More than a burger joint, it's little slice of Heaven-on-Earth right here in Wisconsin, slowly but steadily spreading to regions outside the Upper Midwest. Just give me a ButterBurger, cheese curds, and a frozen custard concrete, and I'll be in paradise!

Culver City 

A city in West Los Angeles, home to Sony Studios, the Culver Stairs, and tons of traffic.

Although it used to have a reputation for being a dangerous city, Culver has reinvented itself and is now becoming one of the more desirable places to live on the West Side. Overall, it’s still a middle-class city, but many wealthier residents have began moving in and the rent is rapidly increasing.

Culver City is also one of the most diverse areas in LA. It’s home to snobby, predominantly white neighborhoods like Culver Crest & Carlson Park, as well as predominantly Hispanic and black neighborhoods of Clarkdale and Blair Hills, respectively.

Culver City High School is the main high school in the area, and is best known for having incredibly dirty bathrooms and a great football team (comprised of transfers who don’t live in Culver).

There’s not as much to do when compared to places like Santa Monica or Beverly Hills, but there’s still a decent amount of attractions in Culver. Culver is home to a great night life scene, wide variety of different shopping centers (all of which are impossible to find a parking spot in), the Fox Hills Mall (a popular mall with an unnecessarily large amount of shoe stores), the Culver Stairs (a crowded hiking spot with some of the best views of LA), and their very own Arts District.

All in all, Culver is a city that mixes several elements of LA into one. It’s still rather unknown, but could soon be one of the most hip places in SoCal.

Culver City 

A city in West Los Angeles County known primarily for being home to Sony Pictures Studios. It is also the perfect balance between upscale Beverly Hills and downscale Compton. Teenagers that live in Culver City spend most of their time in surrounding areas such as Venice, Santa Monica, and the Greater Los Angeles area because there is nothing to do there.

-Beverly Hills person: "Isn't Culver City where they have all the drugs and gang fights?"
-Compton person: "Isn't Culver City where all those preppy rich-ass people live?"

Culver's 

The best hamburger chain in America. It is based in Sauk City, Wisconsin. They are well known throughout the country, especially the Midwest for their rich and juicy "Butterburgers", which are burgers with a buttered and toasted bun and frozen custards. No other burger chain in the United States can touch Culver's.

I went to Culver's for lunch today and bought their signature Butterburger. It was so delicious that McDonald's and Burger King cannot even hold a candle to them.
