Exactly what it sounds like. The red-purple sputum that is a mixture of cranberry pulp and the excess mucus caused by irritation from drinking the acidic juice. Similar substances can come out of drinking lemon or grapefruit juice, but those tend to be a less alarming and therefore noteworthy color.

All of a sudden "friends" and "fans" come out of the woodwork to mourn the death of this person they never mentioned they were a fan of prior to their death.

When you have to pee in a movie but don’t want to miss anything, and must do the following mental equation: will the amount I have to pee cause enough discomfort to diminish my attention capacity for the remainder of the movie to an extent which is greater than the amount of the movie I would miss by making a mad dash to the restroom.
