The Corpse Bride
Yet another excellent movie from Tim Burton, about a young man, (Victor) who is to marry the daughter of an influental and very rich family in his town (Victoria). He goes out into the woods, practicing his vows for his wedding the next day, and accidently becomes married to a 'corpse bride' (Emily). The movie has some interesting turns involving a murder, bankrupsy, and, of course, 'true' love. It is definatly worth your time to watch if you have not seen it yet.

Tim Burton's most recent (Sept. 2005) film, in which he employs stop-motion, one of the most arduous processes in film-making. The plot is based on a Jweish-Russian folktale in which betrothed man jokingly recites his wedding vows and places the ring on a stick-life form, which happens to be a dead woman's finger, thus she comes back to life and claims that they are lawfully wedded. Wow I sound so pro... Anyway it's a great film by a mesmerizing genius with fantastic music by Danny Elfman. The characters and their portrayals are wondeful, as well as the storyline. Go see it! It's Tim Burton's!

Used when a person wishes to express distaste at the latest fashion trend/fad, because it seems that everyone has a certain item of clothing or is wearing it. This term is most frequently heard in Paris but is slowly spreading to other parts of France.
