Camaraderie of loss

Opposite of 'friends with benefits '. When one of the dudes involved in a friendship often incurs a loss owing to the nature of friendship. You can't say no, for instance, or want to go an extra mile to be helpful to the friend yo don't want to lose.
Azra: So you two were like friends with benefits?
Adil: It was more of a camaraderie of loss. I could never say no to her and here we are.

n. 1.)is a swift dip out of a situation and or work schedule without telling anyone and disappearing.

2.) When someone is supposed to be somewhere at a specific time and place and show up late or not at all.
