A term used in the mid eighties to late nineties used by urban youths and Hip Hop artists used to explain how nice an item is or how exciting something they watched was.

Jack was walking to the store when he noticed that Eric was wearing the new Air Jordan's . When Eric walked buy Jack he said " Yo those shoes are buter". Then Eric told Jack that" the party last night was buter"

Joseph Frank "Buster" Keaton was an American actor and comedian during the 1920s.

During the 1980s in Oakland, CA his stage name became local slang describing a person that is fake or a phony. Someone who does not deserve respect. A fake actor that cant even go by his real name.
