bitcoin boomer

a bitcoin "enthusiast" that is easily triggered by the mention (or mere existence) of any alternative crypto coins, because they see these as competition and a threat to bitcoin. They are unwilling to accept the fact that other coins can exist, and perceive their existence as an insult because bitcoin was the first (and what they consider the only) cryptocurrency and that all others are copycats, "scams" or otherwise "shit". They claim bitcoin was the best financial instrument invented in the last 1000 years, while also claiming that nothing better could ever possibly come along in the future.

They are called "boomers" not because of their age, but instead because of their holier-than-thou attitude towards others, and their belief that they've been part of the crypto currency scene long enough to declare themselves an authority on all things finance (even if a latecomer to bitcoin). They are also sometimes referred to as a Bitcoin Maximalist and/or Bitcoin Cultist.

Bitcoin Pusher

someone that aggressively promotes Bitcoin and other unregulated digital financial instruments on Twitter and other social media platforms. Bitcoin Pushers usually start promoting the financial instrument once it has gain popularity due to its value being pumped, rather than early on based on the actual legitimacy, sustainability or usefulness of said financial instruments. While anyone can be considered a 'Bitcoin Pusher', it is usually used to refer to internet celebrities that are not primarily associated with finance.

Bitcoin Cultist

a bitcoin "enthusiast" that worships bitcoin and believes it is the only valid cryptocurrency (considers all other coins as "shitcoins"); their entire self-worth is defined entirely around bitcoin and its movement. Easily incensed at the mere existence of any other cryptocurrencies, and attacks anyone whom they perceive may have said anything even remotely negative about bitcoin.

Can be easily identified by the toxic nature they bring to any cryptocurrency discussion (especially when uninvited), and adherence to cult-like rituals, like having avatar and profile pictures with 'satanic eyes', and calling whom they consider 'bitcoin non-believers' as being "rekt". Bitcoin Cultists also live under the belief that soon the entire financial system will suddenly collapse all at once, and that they'll magically be the only ones left standing, without being able to actually articulate exactly how this will all happen.
"Mary is a bitcoin proponent, but Pete is just an outright bitcoin cultist!"

Bitcon Scheme

term to describe the Ponzi-like schemes of the cryptocurrency world, especially in terms of bitcoin; gets its name from "bit" as in "digital", and "con" as a twist on "coin", and to describe the type of scheme (so "digital coin" -> "digital con").

Used as an alternative to "Ponzi" because cryptocurrency adherants argue that only fiat currency is used as the ROI for early investors in Ponzi schemes, contrary to the imagined value of cryptocurrencies being used as the ROI in the cryptocurrency world.

Bitconnect

A cryptocurrency that was largely determined to operate as a Ponzi scheme, reaching a high of about $435 in value during its peak, and hitting a low of $0.89 as of today. Bitconnect has a lending platform with promises of returns that are generally regarded as unsustainable, causing people to argue that the returns are merely based on new funding put into the platform rather than the actual generation of profit. Suspiciously, the founders of this platform are anonymous. The SEC and possibly other U.S. government agencies are investigating this cryptocurrency.
