A term used within the Durban Indian community to describe someone who is useless. It is most commonly used as an insult, but
may also be used in a
joke-like manner. One can be considered a badhasamy if, for example, they do not provide meaningful value to a conversation (viz. talks rubbish) constantly and consistently, struggles with his/her academic studies, and does not seek to improve themselves or their situation in any shape, way or form - resulting in a perception of overwhelming mediocrity of that person.
Being a badhasamy is considered contagious, and often badhasamy'
s (p.) naturally associate with one another and feed of each other as a way to compensate or console their own lack of personal ability.

may be difficult to identify them at times as they'll possess qualities such as smooth-talking and

popular socially, making it exceptionally hazardous to other
