Allston Christmas is September 1st in Boston. Massachusetts, USA. With the hundreds of thousands of college students that move into, out of, and across Boston on September 1st, there is a great deal of furniture and other household items that are either left temporarily or discarded on the sidewalks of Allston, Brighton, Mission Hill, The Fenway, Cambridge, Brookline, and other student-rich sections of the Boston area. Allston 'Christmas' refers to the bounty of "new" stuff that one can easily acquire free of cost simply by walking down to the sidewalk and running off with it back into your own apartment. Much of the items that are left on the sidewalk are free to take because people can't fit them into their new apartment or don't have enough space in the truck to move them. However, many of the items are simply left on the sidewalk temporarily and are rummaged (read: 'stolen') by the neighbors in the chaos that is the city of Boston on Septemer 1st.

I got a new microwave for Allston Christmas -- it was free and delivered right to my door! I love moving day!

Allstar generation

So apparently kids born during 1997-1999 don’t belong to any existing generation which means we don’t have a name, so I’m proposing that we be called the Allstar Generation. Because I’ve never met one of us that doesn’t know every single word to that song.

allston

Region of Boston, Massachusetts, located west of Boston University. Borders Brookline, Brighton, and Cambridge. It is home to many students of Boston schools, mostly BU kids but many from BC, Suffolk, Harvard, and probably MIT. It is a place of debauchery and general lawlessness. The only area with actual police presence is Ashford and Pratt because that's where the awful BU frats are and freshmen flock there only to wake up in a hospital, so the police just hang out there waiting for the 911 calls. Allston also has many large liquor stores, including Marty's, Blanchard's, and Discount Liquors. There are a fair amount of bars and restaurants in the area. Bars close at 2am, but there are parties pretty much every night and people are usually out until 4 or 5. Most of the bars and restaurants are on Commonwealth Avenue, Brighton Avenue, and Harvard Avenue. There is a large immigrant population, and a few young professionals, but, generally, if you live in Allston and you're over 25, you have serious problems.

I went to a party on chester street in allston last night - I ended up shotgunning a beer on the street next to a police cruiser and after that my only memories are of throwing up.

I'm bored - let's get an $8 handle of marty's vodka and watch porn in allston.

Sometimes I see families walking around allston and I want to cry.
