CO2 HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH WHIPITS. Whip-its are nitrous oxide canisters. To use whipits you take a breaker(which breaks the canister seal) and fill a ballon with one, two, or however many. The more you take at once the more messed up you get.
"Ohhh goodness", I took a whip-it and now I can't feel my face, lips, or my feet.(p.s. My friends and I are doing whip-its right now)

When you take a can of whipped cream (the kind that comes in a metal can with the plastic nozzle) and you take it without shaking and shoot the burst of air into your mouth or nose and inhale. An easy way to get high.

boofin whipits

To Boof a whipit
A whip it, normally called a whipped cream charger, is a polished silver canister about 2 inches in length containing .8 or .16 mg of nitrous oxide.

When cracking sealed whip its, you will need a whipped cream dispenser or separate cracker (normally with a large non inflated balloon attached around its dispenser valve).

After a series of long, deep breaths the whip it is then inhaled through either the filled dispenser or balloon at which point the user will then hold their breath.

The desired effect happens almost immediately and is composed of a series of short hallucinations and distorted hearing. The user will then slowly breath out the remaining n2o and repeatedly inhale oxygen until the effect wears off.

This abuse of nitrous oxide puts it on the Hazardous Chemicals database due to sometimes causing asphyxiation.
"Dude! Did you just see that guy take three whip its upside down hanging on that pull-up bar?!? That was just 10 minutes ago and now he's cooking us dinner!"

whippits

(noun) Whippits are small metallic containers of nitrous oxide(laughing gas) intended for home use in whipped cream charging bottles. However, using a "cracker" and a large balloon, the user can open the whippit and release the gas into the balloon. The user then inhales the contents of the balloon for an amazingly intense, immediate, but albeit a short-term body and mind high. Typically referred to as "hippie crack". Sold in boxes of 12 or 24 in most headshops. Have fun!
Dude, this party is dead. You got any of those whippits left? I gotta cracker and some balloons in my car.

trucker's tan

A sunburn or suntan focused on the left arm. It is caused by the left side of the body being the only half that gets exposed to sunlight while driving. Presumably, it would be located on the right side of the body in countries where they drive on the left side of the road.
I had a trucker's tan after driving for 10 straight hours on a sunny day.

British slang for a scientist or technical expert, esp . when the speaker is not certain of the expert’s specific field of study. Not necessarily derogatory, but typically used by persons without a technical background. In the US, the equivalent would be “egghead”, “squint”, or “geek.”

Origin of the word is unknown. Started sometime in World War 2. Given the typical evolution of British slang, could easily have started because what these experts did was confusing or “baffling” to the common person.
