A talented black male r&b singer whose real name is Abel Makkonen Tesfaye. He is from Toronto, Canada. The Weeknd’s record label name is XO and his fans also go by XO. If someone says their an XO, then their a Weeknd fan. His album Trilogy, that was released in 2012 , consisted of his remixed and remastered versions of his 2011 mixtapes : House of Balloons, Thursday, and Echoes of Silence. Abel got his stage name ‘The Weeknd’ from his high school drop out status. He said him and a friend dropped out of high school at about 17 and left one weekend and never came back home. Abel had to remove the ‘e’ in his stage name since there was already a Canadian band with the name ‘The Weekend’.

Golden Weekend
A weekend in which a medical professional, usually a medical student or doctor, has both Saturday and Sunday to himself/herself, neither working at the hospital nor on call. Often rare, especially among interns and residents.
