1.)W-Hat is a group in Second Life for members of the Something Awful Forums.

2.)W-hat or :w-hat: came shortly after the "what" craze in FYAD/GBS. The image was at first a clever way of saying "what" and later a way of saying "what" without a ban... for a while.
