Treearterian

Pronounced 'tree-art-arian'.

A person that does not conform to the rules of vegan-ism or vegetarianism but looks about creating their own variation of what they believe is doing the right thing.
An example of this is somebody that chooses not to eat meat but would rather eat the meat if another person's meat food was intended for the bin. The meat would be regarded as a waste and therefore consumed for it nutritional values rather than binning it so that the animal was not murdered completely for nothing. This person would never buy meat for themselves or look about consuming it any other fashion but to save waste.
A treearterian may choose to eat fish as fish are not taken from their mothers to be used as food. Fish are solo species and in abundant supply so could be regarded as a food that could be consumed with good intention.

A treearterian will not take part in the practice of mass production of anything especially dairy. Organic dairy may be excepted if the source of the dairy was not harmful to the animals in any way.

A treearterian's diet therefore could be built upon fish, vegetables and well sourced dairy but this is subjective to the person with the point being that they do not wish to conform to another set of principles laid out by another such as vegan-ism and vegetarianism.
'I thought vegetarians don't eat meat?!'

'I'm only eating this meat as you are wasting it to the bin. I don't believe in the killing and torture of animals as food for humans and I will never look to consume meat. I am a treearterian and therefore stand by my own set of beliefs of I believe is ethical when it comes to consuming food from the planet'.

jackie treehorn

To draw something accurately in drawsomething, then very slowly erase it and replace with a picture similar to Jackie Treehorn's sketch in The Big Lebowski. Ideally your opponent will guess your drawing and, while feeling victorious, will be presented with a picture of a man with his large dick and balls.
What? I swear it was a church. I just got jackie treehorned.

One of those unfortunate 'fringe' words that has entered into the language - not popular enough for you to know what it means and not obscure enough for you never to have come in contact with it.

The type of word that thrives in the midst of ego inflating chain mail dreck destined to be circulated by the staff at universities everywhere. It will be sandwiched between two other equally esoteric words with equally redundant applications.

Used by supposedly tech savvy English Lecturers who believe that their ability to use such terms is inextricably linked with their (immense) technological skill.

These are the same Lecturers who spontaneously orgasm over the correct usage of a word like "poleaxed" or wear Atari T-shirts to conventions just for the recognition.

You type "treeware" instead of "hardcopy" when you're writing a cleverly worded course outline with your left hand whilst your right hand is busily engaging in ritual self satisfaction.

2

Mr (X) thought using the word treeware in his course outline would gain him some kudos amongst the class. Ironically the class had had so little exposure to the word that they all ended up on urban dictionary reading this definition instead.

fache-couture

French slang, which translated, means "bull's fashion" but basically equates to "hyper trendy" or overly trendy. Used when a person wishes to express distaste at the latest fashion trend/fad, because it seems that everyone has a certain item of clothing or is wearing it. This term is most frequently heard in Paris but is slowly spreading to other parts of France.

A slang term for GLP-1 medications(like Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, etc.), usually referring to their appetite-killing, weight-loss, or “I forgot to eat” effects rather than the medical details.

Usage:
* Often casual, ironic, or meme-y
* Can imply effortless weight loss, suppressed hunger, or being “powered by pharmaceuticals”

Notes:
Not a brand name—just shorthand for the whole GLP-1 wave. Frequently shows up in online jokes, gym talk, and group chats where people pretend they’re *totally* doing it naturally.

“Ever since the glippy hit, food feels optional.”
