Syncretism

Anthropology: Observation and study without reference to a historical context, often of a particular ethnic group.

An example would go here if I could think of a good one.

Secretism

Acting in a mysterious fasion. Not giving full disclosure.

The secretism of that dude intrigued me. He wouldn't even tell me his name.

SECRETISM

Something that must be kept secret between two people. Usually the consequences of the secret being released would result in the death or the spoiled reputations of the two people.

- I made sure that Maggie would keep our baby a secretism until we knew what we were going to do.

- Somebody somehow hacked into our instant messenger conversation and revealed our secretisms to the public... POP (gunfire, suicide).

synaretism

(noun) — an exceptional aggregate excellence arising from consistently strong performance across multiple dimensions, particularly when no single dimension is individually dominant.

A person who is good, but not the best, at many complementary things, but is considered the best overall is synaretic.

Roger Federer certainly had signature characteristics—especially his forehand and movement—but his historical greatness is difficult to reduce to one overwhelming attribute other than his synaretism.

What separates Michael Jordan and LeBron James is synaretism - while Jordan was carried to greatness on his overwhelming ability to score, James didn't have a single skill that pulled his lagging ones up, but instead soared to greatness because he was synaretic.
