Influenced by the riot grrrl movement of the 1990s. Hailing from Portland, Oregon, the group's name is derived from Sleater-Kinney Road, Interstate 5 offramp #108 in Lacey, Washington, the location of one of their early practice spaces.

Rims that are a cross between floaters and spinners. They must be at least 22". They consist of a rim with a floating liner and a spinner on top.

A spleaser (or splasher) is a (typically male) person that has the "Schalk im Nacken" and knows exactly how to attract people from the opposite sex (typically women). You will typically come across spleasers in groups of 3 - 6 individuals. Although general appearance can widely vary, a spleaser's most notable characteristics are chirping others, smooth dance moves, noteworthy intellect, baller attitude and a general overdose of swag.
