Spergatory 

When a discussion on the internet has devolved so far beyond the threshold of rational discussion, that it is completely, and utterly impossible to bring it back to normality. Reason and fact have been replaced with irrational anger and fanboyism. The only way to fix such a situation is to purge it;
That is, to remove the thread.

1. a. describes something having to do with Asperger syndrome, or extremely nerdy, obsessive, or social-skill-lacking behavior.

2. n Asperger's like behavior or atmosphere. Describes an activity nobody with a life/social skills would or should attempt. Examples include spending hours with spreadsheets figuring out the inner workings of an online game, or trying to get Linux to work. Not being able to take a joke about Linux would certainly fall under this term.

Spergatory 

The compulsive state of being obsessed with knowing every possible detail about a particular subject (i.e. sperging out). The state is only left when the entrant has learned far more about the subject than can ever possibly be put to practical use. A combination of sperg and purgatory.

I'm deep in spergatory about nutrition right now. I'll let you know when I've finished the internet on it.

A mild insult applied to someone who exhibits nerdy or socially awkward behavior resembling one of the symptoms of Asberger Syndrome; for example, the repetitive door-knocking by the character Sheldon on The Big Bang Theory. Adapted from the "Heavens to Murgatroyd" exclamation by the cartoon character Snagglepuss on The Yogi Bear Show.
