Smidgeon

Smidgeon: noun.
Often confused with the coloquial term for a 'small amount'.
Is indeed a very small pidgeon native to the streets of every town/city/dump site.

James: Do you know what the name of a baby pidgeon is?
Rich: No... a Chick?
James: Ah ha ha ha, no... it's a Smidgeon!
Rich: OH, ha ha ha ha ha ha.

a small amount of something, used in cooking, mechanics, etc.

er boy! jus slap a smidgeon of that dang ol' right stuff on that surface and call it good.
