Slowburn 

A type of romance writing style used for fan fiction/books/movies etc. Slowburn is defined as a relationship that takes time and attention to grow in a romantic direction.

H: “Enemies to Lovers is the best type of romance writing style.”
L: “You’re all wrong, it’s Friends to Lovers.”
N: “Are you guys serious? It’s definitely Slowburn.”

A fanfiction genre in which the characters that are romantically shipped take a very long time to get together. It could be 30 chapters before they even brush elbows.

Person A: "I'm looking for some good fanfiction for Destiel. Do you know of any good slow burn fics?"

Person B: "Do I? Yes! Here, I'll send them to you."

Slowburbia

The ever expanding suburbs - nothing going on... just houses and strip malls... no sense of community, and the night life is gone soon after sundown. It's great to raise a family, but not to be a young adult looking for fun after hours.
