In skiing, a sliding carve. At the end of your normal C-carve, you drift by flattening the skis. Stand up tall over the downhill ski, ease out of the carve, and plot your next line. Also known as a "schmear". Popularized by Shane McConkey.

Touch Starved

When one has the strong desire to be touched (not usually in a sexual way). Examples of touch are hugs, kisses, or just something simple as holding hands. Humans feel this desire due to the fact the body releases the hormone oxytocin during skin-on-skin contact. Without it, adults are more susceptible to depression and infants can have developmental problems or even die. This craving can be satisfied through a friend (if you're comfortable with affection, some platonic relationships are more hands off) or a partner.
