Function: noun
Etymology: conjunction of the prefix "sis" (as in sister) + the Middle English "triste" - appointed station for hunters (probably from trist, trust confidence, trust)
Date: 21st century
1: an agreement to meet for an intimate affair, as made by two or more women who are unusually close, but who are not involved romantically
2: an appointed meeting or meeting place for heterosexual females to have a "date" ("date," in this instance, meaning an occasion to get dressed up and go out with the same level of exuberance as if it were a romantic date with an attractive man)

A fabricated type of pseudohistory that is typically created and shared with others in some kind of public forum—often seen as a form of shit posting somewhere on the internet. The creation of the pseudo history shitpost—or shistory—is typically intended for humor, internet trolling, misleading a group of people, or to shed light on a particular subject (or a combination of these intents).
Mark: "Hey Ashley! How great was that shistory lesson Ms. Howard gave us about the battalion in the Civil War that rode grizzly bears instead of horses?!?"

Boffin
British slang for a scientist or technical expert, esp . when the speaker is not certain of the expert’s specific field of study. Not necessarily derogatory, but typically used by persons without a technical background. In the US, the equivalent would be “egghead”, “squint”, or “geek.”
Origin of the word is unknown. Started sometime in World War 2. Given the typical evolution of British slang, could easily have started because what these experts did was confusing or “baffling” to the common person.

When you have to pee in a movie but don’t want to miss anything, and must do the following mental equation: will the amount I have to pee cause enough discomfort to diminish my attention capacity for the remainder of the movie to an extent which is greater than the amount of the movie I would miss by making a mad dash to the restroom.
