A stubborn view that things you use/are used to are better than anyone else's, just because you use/are used to them. Regardless that the other options may be objectively equal or better, a shymonistic person always fights for their thing, usually without providing any valid arguments.
European: How can you possibly drive on the left side of the road? That's so stupid, driving on the right side of the road makes much more sense.
Brit: How does it make more sense? There's no better driving side, just two options...
European: Well, then our option is better. Driving on the left side is weird. Everyone should drive on the right side, that's normal.
Brit: Quit the shymonism and say some real arguments.

Shamanism combines a range of traditional beliefs and practices focusing on communication with the spirit world, and higher power. A practitioner of shamanism is known as a shaman.

There are many variations of shamanism throughout the world, but several common beliefs are shared by all forms of shamanism. Shamans are intermediaries between the human and spirit worlds. According to believers, they can treat illness and are capable of entering supernatural realms to obtain answers to the problems of their community.
"Shamanism must take a lot of heart, care and dedication."

A practitioner of Shamanism is a Shaman. Shamans gain knowledge and the power to heal by entering into the spiritual world or dimension. The shaman may have, or acquire many spirit guides in the spirit world, these often guide and direct the shaman in his/her travels. These spirit guides are always present within the shaman though others only encounter them when the shaman is in a trance. The spirit guide energizes the shaman, enabling him/her to enter the spiritual dimension. The shaman heals within the spiritual dimension by returning 'lost' parts of the human soul from wherever they have gone. The shaman also cleanses excess negative energies which confuse or pollute the soul. Shaman act as "mediators" in their culture. The shaman communicates with the spirits on behalf of the community, including the spirits of the deceased. The shaman communicates with both living and dead to alleviate unrest, unsettled issues, and to deliver gifts to the spirits. Often, unsettled issues can be resolved with money. Paper money can be burnt to transfer its value to the spirits.

Shmoonism

An adjective used to describe the act of spending your parent's money or entire paycheck on anything you don't need in a matter of two days or less, typically a weekend. Another example of this would include spending any and all money that should be used for bills at a bar, or even multiple bars. Generally, most money would be spent on bottles of Coors Light and multiple packs of Marlboro Lights. Also, to be a "schmoon" move, the person has to lie about where they spent/got all their money.
Driving home to get $200 in bill money from your parents, then spending it all that weekend on a Brewer's game and a couple trips to the bar. Total shmoonism

Going to the grocery store three times in one night, to get a total of five sodas that cost 25 cents a piece.
