shamoolies 

Noun: Refers to the nickname given by military personnel to illumination flares that are used on the battlefield to light large areas up.

A small plastic tube with a pullstring that, when pulled, shoots a rocket propelled flare approx. 800m into the air, which then burns with a bright orange-red colour for 50 seconds whilst dropping to the ground with a small parachute. It allows infantry units to light an area up in a battle about 1km squared so as to expose the enemy they are engaging. Although technically called Illumination Flares, military personnel refer to them as Shamoolies.

Shambolised 

A single word which completely encompasses and describes any person(s) who are totally mindblown, and Headshot and unable to think clearly, or not able to focus or concentrate on a single topic of thought, usually as a result of the use of intoxicating[ and/or illegal substance, causing lack of judgement, [common sense, and the inability to communicate with others in an understandable, or indeed appropiate fashion.

Rhys: "Oh my God! Look at the state on Brendan! He can't even get his words out in the right order! Talking complete nonsense to himself and spinning out, he's full-on mental!"

Stuart: "I know, I think he must have taken something for his head to be in that much of a mess! Totally SHAMBOLISED! What a state to get into!"

Brendan: "Alright boys?"

Billy: "Yeah, you look well SHAMBOLISED tho fella!"

Brendan: " I am! lost in the woods, but I like it that way!"

An expression or name used to describe a termianlly ill person who belongs in a mental hospital.
This word can also be used to describe people who act dumb for attention.

Shambolic 

A psychedelic rock band from Chester PA who existed from 1965 to 1968. They were to be the first band on as an opener for Jimi Hendrix at the Philadelphia Spectrum in 1968. Years hike backstage getting ready , Lemmy, who was Hendrix’s guitar tech at the time, gave each of the members of Shambolic 5 tabs of barrel acid which hit them incredibly hard. While making their way to the stage, they made a wrong turn and went out the back stage exit, ending up on the broad street subway, where they experienced a loss of time experience. They resurfaced from their time jump in the summer of 2021 back in Chester with no real memory of the episode. The band continued on at that point once obtaining a jam space and new equipment. Their first release, the East 25th Street demo Cd was self produced and released in 2023 , and was well received by their peers in the local music scene. The band continues to this day playing sporadic live shows and working on new material.

Tom: “haven’t seen those guys in ages, like decades, it’s like they went full on Shambolic on us and disappeared for 40 years, but hey they still look pretty good, wnd man their new material is heavy as balls!”
