A portmanteau of “science” and “God,” denoting the fusion where science occupies the same ontological and authoritative rank as a deity. Sciencod is not science as a method but science as a transcendent entity: all‑powerful, all‑knowing, and morally perfect. In this framing, scientific progress becomes salvation, scientific consensus becomes divine revelation, and questioning the scientific establishment becomes blasphemy. The term captures how certain secular movements have unconsciously re‑encoded the structure of monotheism into their relationship with science.
Example: “His tweet read ‘Science will save us from climate change’—pure Sciencod, treating an institution as a messiah while ignoring that science is done by fallible humans with conflicting interests.”

Scienced

The act of winning an argument using scientific fact. It must be done around other people and used in a similar fashion to being burned or schooled. Many times, people will be unable to handle this and give up the argument.

Sciencology

A blend of “science” and “theology,” referring to the systematic study of science as a quasi‑religious system—its creeds, its priesthood, its sacred texts (peer‑reviewed journals), its heresies (pseudoscience), and its eschatology (technological utopia). Sciencology examines how scientific discourse adopts theological patterns: the belief in scientific progress as inevitable, the treatment of nature as law‑governed by sacred equations, and the excommunication of dissenters. It is not a celebration but an analytical lens, often used in critical studies of scientism.
Example: “Her book on sciencology traced how 20th‑century physics adopted the language of priesthood—papers became scripture, conferences became councils, and the public was expected to believe on authority.”
