When one wakes too early in the morning, in which it is still dark outside.

Gabriel woke up at 4:00 A.M. Therefore he was late, because he still thought it was nighttime. This is when nightmorning can confuse someone while they are sleeping.

Nightmorning

That time after 12 am and before 4 am where it's still too dark out to be considered morning.

"Oh man son, it's 2 am!" "Why, are you freaking out do you have to be somewhere?" "Nah, man, I do have to crash bro." "Okay, nightmorning bro."
