The Morrissey dance has been around since the 1980's, it involves flailing the arms and legs in an unusual fashion, people performing the dance can be easily recognised by the trail of gladioli or daffodils they leave behind. This dance was created by Morrissey, at the time of it's creation he was the lead singer of The Smiths.

Phrase to be used when someone delivers bad news in an otherwise pleasant conversation or time. It comes from the idea that Morrissey (solo artist and frontman of The Smiths) wrote depressing lyrics which were then often juxtaposed with quite upbeat or happy music. Without a doubt, the greatest lyricist that ever lived. Former lead singer of 80's band "The Smiths", Morrissey has made a name for himself in popular music and is known for his outrageous (yet highly laughable) comments. He is also a vegetarian, and a native of the UK, who current makes his home in Los Angeles.

West Midlands slang word for rockers, bikers, greasers etc. In the late 1980s it was used by the UK music press to refer to a specific scene centered around the bands Pop Will Eat Itself and Crazyhead.
