Hybrid of the words “moke” and Okinawan. Slang term originating from Hawaii to describe a person of Okinanwan (Japanese) descent who speaks pidgeon English. A moke is a rugged Pacific Islander. So Mokinawan is a rugged Okinawan who speaks heavy pidgeon English.

I can’t stand the Mokinawans who hang out in front of Safeway trying to talk to the high school girls.
