Megalomart

A Megalomart is a term created by the script writers of Fox's cartoon King of the Hill as a parody term for over-size big box stores. A Megalomart comes into an area, destroys the local competitors by lower volume pricing and becomes "the store" for all working class people for miles around. The word is a multiple pun: "Mega" large, "lo" low as in low prices, and Megalo, from megalomanic, a person under the delusion of their supreme self-importance, and "mart" a place for shopping.
Growing up, I always aspired to being a greeter at Megalomart.
