A sophisticated term for a gamer, i.e. someone who plays a lot of games and is a connoisseur and patron of the art of game design.

The term conventionally applies to video and computer games, excluding traditional forms of games like of board, card or sports games.

The root if the word lies in ludus, latin word for game.

As a ludant, I appreciate the often-ignored DS game Electroplankton.

A "Luban" is that complete lunatic that runs into a place, yells and demands something without saying anything relevant except for a massive shockwave of made-up words in a high pitch - and everyone in that place knows exactly what this beautiful idiot wants - instantly.
