To use phrases and metaphors to describe things or actions that were familiar to you growing up or told by your family elders but others never heard before .

My dad used a LATHAMISM when he said We were driving “through the hills of Morocco” to find the location we were searching for. (Back roads or uncharted areas).

Lathams Close 

Lathams close is an area in Whiston where alot of things go down, drugs, fighting, guns... 12 sniper rifles found in one house at one point (there is a news article on the BBC site somewhere)
