Lake Highlands

A small suburb in Northeast Dallas that consists of mostly white people living in small, old, remodeled homes. People here wear nothing but Toms, Sperrys, Polos and we cant forget The North Face during the winter time. People of Lake Highlands only eat Chick-fil-a or occasionally Taco Bell(for "diversity") when they eat out. Coffee? Starbucks or white rock coffee, no other coffee shops exists. Families in this suburb consider themselves to be conservative Christians; but remain oblivious to the fact that they're raising their children to be parts of "cliques" that consist only of people that go to their same church (or Young-Life) or old family friends, when in fact they should be teaching them to adapt to diversity and new faces. Lake Highlands High School continues to be a huge part of the Lake Highlands community, you'll find that many of the current students parents went here as well (These are the same parents that wouldn't miss a PTA meeting for the world). Recently, Lake Highlands has been becoming more and more diverse...and by diverse I mean ghetto.
Samantha: You're going to Lake Highlands next year?
John: Yea
Samantha: Good luck man, people be shady.

Lake Highland Preparatory School

A private school founded in Central Florida. Known to be one of the best private schools in Florida, which it should be since you pay $16,000 a year in tuition to attend!

Preppy atmosphere lacking any type of diversity, unless you count the five black kids in every grade who were given an "academic scholarship" to play some type of sport. For a "Christian based school" it also has a large population of Jewish students.

Parts of the student body can be a tad pretentious and superficial, whether that be the macho lacrosse players to the vapid blond cheerleaders. Expect the student parking lot to be filled with parents' Mercedes and Lexus'. Guys wear Guy Harvey Shirts and Sperry's, whereas girls wear Ugg boots with leggings.

Basically your typical college prep school for all the professionals (Doctors, Lawyers, and Businessmen) , who want to send their sons or daughter to "prestigious" schools, or avoid the public schools of the area.
Typical Lake Highland Preparatory School Student:

"Haha, yeah we got wasted that weekend at that Isleworth party. Good thing I told my parents I was working on my Vanderbilt and Wake Forest applications"

Lake Highland Preparatory School

aka "The Poor Man's Orangewood"
Lake Highland Preparatory School's baseball team is horrible, even with a Cy Young winner throwing bp. They lose to Orangewood 10-0 every year.

Back when I lived in upstate new york

A meaningless, unimpressive, self-serving introduction. An indicator that the story about to be shared will be pointless and dumb.
Back when I lived in upstate new york, I also had to park on the street - on two occasions, we got enough snow, mixed with just the right plowing, that my car was lifted off the ground from so much snow being jammed underneath it.

Sister: This meeting was to discuss the rough draft of my essay, where we discussed the subsidiary questions I added in my rough draft. We also discussed the relationship between my main title and the real-life situations I chose to use in my essay. We discussed the structure of my essay as well, specifically the Math AOK section and how it relates to the contradiction of the title. This second meeting was particularly helpful in discussing the implications of my essay claims and how to apply the title across various areas of knowledge. There were many sections of the essay that could have been cut down in wordiness and the ways of knowing required further and more in-depth analysis.

Salad Days

green inexperienced youthful judgement and cold blooded execution of those judgements.

Rashness with little concern of consequence.

"My salad days,
When I was green in judgment, cold in blood."
