In the Black Church tradition, a homegoing service is often separate from the funeral. The focus of the homegoing is a celebration of someone's life, as opposed to a burial service. A homegoing generally includes a lot of happy singing, fond jokes and memories, a sermon, and lots of laughter. Also, it's often held at night, whereas a funeral often happens in the morning.

With all that singing, Michael Jackson's memorial service was more of a homegoing than a funeral.

Homecoming Whore

When someone (normally a girl) is usually a goody goody inside and outside school, but when they go to the Homecoming dance, they magically transform into a whore who wants to grind with everyone. Then turn back to normal the next school day.

Stanley Homecoming 

An annual event that runs the week of July 4th in a small, town in Stanley, Virginia. The event features a parade, music shows, and rides put up by carnies. Some of the people from remote areas, known as hollers, only get out once a year for the Stanley Homecoming. There are usually fight, confederate flags, and plenty of sluts walking around with bad hair and big tits.

I remember one year at Stanley Homecoming that Lester beat the fuck out of two Mexicans for staring at his easter hog girlfiend.

Howard Homecoming 

The annual affair known as Howard University's Homecoming, an event infamous for causing such an influx of fun-seeking teens, college students/alumni and pedophiles that all of D.C. shuts down for an entire weekend. The incredible part is, it actually lives up to all the hype...and when an event has been immortalized in a Biggie song, believe there's hype.

Homecoming 

1. When the highschool alumni come to see a home football game. The week leading up to the Homecoming game can involve class spirit competitions and other such things.
2. Referring to the Homecoming football game.
3. Referring to the dance typically the night after the football game.
