Hanna-Barbera

A virus who began in the late 1950s in the animation industry. Their light side was they created top-notch shows such as The Flintstones, Wacky Races, and Scooby-Doo. But there's one downfall: these nerds possess a huge library of sound effects with the sole purpose of tissing off gamers. The virus began spreading in the 1960s when Warner Brothers Animation, Nickelodeon, and DiC Entertainment exploited these to their full extent. They infected the anime industry when Wacky Races was a smash hit in Japan. They also infected the gaming industry in the 1980s when almost every show in the 80s and 90s made minor use of these. It started with Dragon's Lair and Time Gal, but it really didn't take off until the 1990s, when Crash Bandicoot was the first to be hit. Rareware got infected with games such as Banjo-Kazooie and Donkey Kong 64 exploiting these. Nintendo also got infected too, Paper Mario was the first, but it wasn't until Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga where the usage of HB sounds started getting worse. Almost every Mario game nowadays uses these.
Scenario 1:
Gamer: I wanted to play Super Mario Galaxy, but I can't because Nintendo put in those stupid HB sounds in! Screw you Hanna-Barbera!

Scenario 2:
Teacher: Okay students, we are going to watch Magic School Bus!
Student: OH GOD! The sound effects there are awful, and a large majority of sound effects used are from Hanna-Barbera! Ren and Stimpy also exploit these too! I'm outta here! (leaves classroom)

A really cute, amazing, beautiful, pretty, fine, and overall fantastic person. She is everything a man needs in his life.
Did you see hannah Barbera? She is looking beautiful.

Hanna-Barberian

A passionate fan of the cartoons produced by the Hanna-Barbera animation studio; alternately, a collector of anything relating to Hanna-Barbera's cartoons, including toys, books, dolls, T-shirts, video games and even animation cels. Patterned on "old boy," a common term for graduates of English public schools (with variants such as "Old Etonian," "Old Harrovian," "Old Reptonian," "Old Wykehamist," etc.)
Imagine the typical Hanna-Barberian at ComicCon: hopelessly enraptured in that world of Saturday mornings past, wearing his Flintstones T-shirt and unable to resist passing by the booths of such selling memorabilia from those shows he wasted Saturday mornings on.

trucker's tan

A sunburn or suntan focused on the left arm. It is caused by the left side of the body being the only half that gets exposed to sunlight while driving. Presumably, it would be located on the right side of the body in countries where they drive on the left side of the road.
I had a trucker's tan after driving for 10 straight hours on a sunny day.

British slang for a scientist or technical expert, esp . when the speaker is not certain of the expert’s specific field of study. Not necessarily derogatory, but typically used by persons without a technical background. In the US, the equivalent would be “egghead”, “squint”, or “geek.”

Origin of the word is unknown. Started sometime in World War 2. Given the typical evolution of British slang, could easily have started because what these experts did was confusing or “baffling” to the common person.
According to the boffins downstairs, the murderer used a serrated blade.

Pee Calculus

When you have to pee in a movie but don’t want to miss anything, and must do the following mental equation: will the amount I have to pee cause enough discomfort to diminish my attention capacity for the remainder of the movie to an extent which is greater than the amount of the movie I would miss by making a mad dash to the restroom.
I saw Satantango last night, wonderful film but by the 5th hour I had to start doing pee calculus.
